Good thing these subs aren’t a lie, am I right?
Back with more subs! We’re getting the hang of this process, and that’s no fib! Over the course continuing, we will try to learn the more fancier typesetting. Though we know a little about the program we use, the more advance tricks fade on us for now.
…also personally I think Kuchisuberashi’s segment was a bit out of place for a kids’ anime, but who knows.
Translation Notes:
- The ingredient (dried salted kelp, or shiokonbu) Onigiri went out for is usually stuffed into the center of the riceball, sometimes even sprinkled on top.
- Kuchisuberashi combines both kuchi (くち, mouth) + suberasu (すべらす, to slip) into literally slipping mouth. The slipping part also plays into his sliding about on ice skates.
- Kirisugirisu is a long horned grasshopper, which in Japanese is kirisugirisu (きりすぎりす). Their ability of cutting hair plays into their name from the word kirisuteru (きりすてる, to cut down). It could possibly also imply a third play of kirisugi, which means cutting too much.
– Noka
Excellent, thanks for another great Episode. These Sangokushi segments are weird…..

Thanks alot for doing this. Don’t feel any pressure to rush your subs, do it at your own pace. We all appreciate you guys doing this.

Thanks for doing this and for picking up where Mongee left off. My girlfriend and I have been hoping someone would pick up Yokai Watch for nearly a year now and we really appreciate what you guys are doing. I used to be a TL and timer myself, so I know how hard it can be to motivate yourselves for a project and how entitled anime watchers can be.
Just know that every episode you release is very much appreciated!
